They see themselves as ambassadors for the culture and music of their home country and are committed to teaching people about Africa and sharing their culture and knowledge. They perform authentic traditional music and dance from all regions of Ghana and, according to tradition, they have received permission to play the drums that feature in their performance.

The group consists of several experienced musicians, performers and teachers, some of whom are well-known internationally - Yaw Nyarko, Paa Brown, Yaw Antwi Quaynor, Kwame Opoku Agyeman, Kojo Noah Owusu and Kukuaa.

The African Royal Drummers are available for drum and dance workshops and performances and schools and for private functions, festivals, special events and other celebrations of international music.
